Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why does it take five meetings to make one simple decision?

It's like people who are in these meetings are trying to justify their existence and are intentionally dragging out things that should and could be dealt with immediately. I don't have time for this cr-p. I have actual work to do. It's sad that I have to worry about being laid off while they will get an "attaboy" from Charlie for their great work. Wells Fargo is a joke.

Sorry, I've had a rough day. End of a rant.

When you pay thousands of people six figures plus to do marginal work, this is what you get. If you're not in a meeting, are you really working? /s

dont forget the multiple email strings with people left off intentionally so we have to meet to compare outcomes since few take or publish meeting notes.

I know of a high performer that declined to come & work here as he thought all the interviews and unanimous approvals required to hire him were indicative of a culture he didn't want to work in.

None of the folks in the meeting are able to or empowered to make a decision.

Only 5? You got lucky. I've been in what seems like endless meetings for months and there's always somebody that can't or won't do what you need yet they won't offer a solution either. It's like everything is designed to NOT get things done. And some things that are approved, standard still take several months to get done.

Exec's are worried about costs? How about we actually put fewer roadblocks in front of people getting their job done. We'll spend more money talking about sh*t than it would cost to actually do it.
