Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

8 WF unionized branches

I haven't heard or seen much from unionized branch updates but I was completely surprised to learn that there are now 8 unionized branches with several more in the pipeline with votes. It would be a nice gift to see the WF unionized branch count reach close to 100 by the end of the year.

How many of these branches have a union agreement now? Still none?

We now have 9 branches unionized. Today the Apex, North Carolina voted to join the CWA union 6-2 with more elections for several other branches coming up on the next week or two. I am currently in the process of unionizing my department of over 50 people with over half of the employees already in favor. Mind you, I only need a majority to win. Our jobs are being shipped to India as many other non-customer facing roles are, and even with layoffs looming we are not giving up. I refuse to let them win. My department like many, have team members with decades of experience and these men think they are just going to roll in and take our jobs! These job hoping execs have no idea what loyalty is and even if I am not successful my team knows I tried and all of them thank me for always speaking up and saying what they can’t in meetings and even to hire ups. It’s time to stand up and fight. 55 million to buy Hudson Yards and an 18% raise with a 29 million bonus for Charlie Scharf. I’m sorry boys, but your location should be San Francisco and if we can afford Chain Saw Charlie’s bonus and his new office then he can afford to keep us. For more information on how to unionize your department please see us at the committee for better banks.org.

Everyone should check out the unionization efforts. What’s the harm? What is WF going to do, lay you off?

Watch WF drag their feet by negotiiating with each branch individually like Starbucks did. After years they still don't have a union contract.

WF leadership response: ‘We prefer to have a direct relationship with our employees’

Yes, we can all see how well that has worked out hahah

They are not unionized. They voted to start a union. No agreement has been signed and likely won’t for a year or so (based on previous efforts). They can also vote again to reverse course as well. While this was a pivotal first step, it’s far from done deal.

Charlie is doing a poor job if these unions exist. Now the firm is focused On Dei because management is poor and grabbing at any discredited theory. All of you need to encourage brokers and clients to leave while discouraging them from joining. The view from the inside gives you ample advantage to avenge the damage done by wells Fargo through conversation.

Agreed. I don't like unions, but I hate Shart more. If he's against it, I'm for it. F that POS.
