Ford and GM have been working on moving employment (Design, Engineering, Testing) to other Countries for sometime and with the addition of millions of illegal aliens in the US cheap labor is welcomed (look into the present employment numbers).
The horizon is bringing millions of illegal aliens, over crowed schools/hospitals, higher crime rate, AI, job shortage...

These OEMs have made more money than ever before. Yet, somehow they just can't afford to build cars that regular people can afford. I think it's all greed.
The R's did it - thank you Reagan - by allowing the wealthiest all the tax breaks which lead to all the offshoring and stock buybacks. But the D's afterwards have benefitted from it just as much. And no politician has any interest in changing things because: it benefits them, and it also benefits their high-powered donors. So the rest of us are up the creek.

They were instructed that any high valued employee that was removed, was not to be replaced with similar value. But, they were given the green light to bring on two lower value employees for each high value removed.
My experiences with this company do indicate that inefficiency is at the levels where the product decisions are made. The decisions never favor affordable and reliable vehicle contents. All the LCC are fixing the problem with the wrong approaches, bad decisions again. And again, it will fail just like the many other failures before.

Just retire, if you're too young apply for SSI benefits and work for cash. Literally everyone is doing this, you would not believe how many people. The automakers will eventually consolidate because most citizens will not be able to buy these cars, this leaving profits in the dust. Let them hire outside the countryside who cares. Buy Toyota, Honda Kia or Nissan.

What I read in the jobs report is that all of the job openings have gone to foreign-born workers.
