Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Develop U DIE assigned classes

Today I’ve checked my DU page and sure enough 3 new classes showed up that are due in May. Then I’ve scrolled farther down and saw bunch of DIE classes assigned without due date. What the >€££I-ing sh-t is that????
Before anyone starts pointing out that this was discussed before, I saw a post maybe a week ago about managers discussing DIE with teams but could not even imagine that this nonsenses is now jammed down to our brains. F this sh-t

Turn off audio and run the videos at 2x speed. Make it a contest to see how fast you can “complete” those courses.

An excellent question for upcoming town halls/AMAs -- How do Wells Fargo leaders square these two things: (1) a company-promoted diversity program that encourages inclusion across “diversity dimensions” including a specific “geographic location” dimension; and (2) an ongoing “location strategy” that is systematically excluding employees based on their geographic location? I’m sure they’d come up with some creative BS answer. But it would be gratifying to call out their blatant, clumsy hypocrisy. Yet, as we all know, they tend to skip over submitted questions not to their liking.

The great thing about DEIB (because apparently people are also concerned about "belonging", too), is that it was diversied to the lowest common denominator — so they're literally going over definitions and common sense actions (actively listen and ask for feedback. Make sure your team feels comfortable speaking in group, etc.). We don't need to waste 30 min. I let it run on mute.

We simply want to do our work, have others do their work and get paid. This isn't kindergarten. We're here to work, not to sit around the campfire hearing about your childhood traumas and singing kumbaya.

No due date = no do training

The term DEI is totally hypocritical and wrong because it EXCLUDES many other groups of people. DEI applies only to certain kind of people, not all kinds of people. In essence, it is a very dangerous racist ideology.

More metrics to be pushed; asinine trainings. DEI is great, corporations that act like they care, not so much. Just be kind and focus on your own agenda outside of work. It could be worse!

In the amount of time it took for you white puffy snowflakes to complain here, you could've clicked thru it and been done. Don't want to do it? Quit. 100% certain nobody's gonna miss ya doughy butts.

The executives don't take any element of it seriously. The only "aspect of diversity" they care about is "former JPM Bro".

In our current location strategy environment, it seems a bit hilarious that one of the diversity dimensions on the outer circle of the diversity dimensions wheel is "geographic location." Leadership certainly doesn't take this aspect of DEI training seriously.

Diversity dimension wheel? Did anyone else feel like it's racial profiling, but cushioned as DEI?
Seriously, why so many classes, and why do we need to compare what people have in common?
On the bright side, you can click through all of them, without even watching the videos. All 3 "For Starters" courses are 3 minutes long, unless you just hit next, and skip the video. It truly is just a check-the-box exercise. The Foundations class is the only one where you have to answer a question before moving on (hint: function and tenure). Even with that one, everything else you can just click next. The total completion time for all of them is less than 5 minutes.

The best part about these DEIB classes (yes, they added another letter) is that to be inclusive, they can’t make it where you have to score at least 80% to pass on a test. That wouldn’t be inclusive, so you can just click through them without paying any attention.

They’re not mandatory fortunately. I refuse to participate since I am not represented. Inclusion, my a-s.

The person in charge of DEI is clueless...she thinks that modules of unproven theory will save Wells Fargo from itself. That is simply ignorant and I ask Ms fercho to get a real job.

I have found these modules tremendously helpful. If it weren’t for them I’d still think it’s ok to harass people and touch black women’s hair.
