For those of you that worked from home either hybrid or permanent and were laid off, what items did they make you return apart from your computer/laptop?
What did that process look like?

I had a giant printer, laptop, some monitors, etc. the manager asked what I had besides the laptop and phone and I volunteered the info. Sounded like they only really knew about the laptop and phone, probably depends how long you’ve been there. I had to arrange pick up with a third party that came by to pick it up and they are supposed to take it to be destroyed. The people that showed up looked like they had been hired that morning and the truck was one of those old box trucks they got 2nd or 3rd hand from U-Haul. They threw most of the stuff in the back like it was trash and would be properly disposed of. The printer/copier/scanner thing and the 2 monitors went in the cab and was carefully sat in there. Phones get returned separately than the big computer gear, or was that way for me. YMMV
The policy clearly states that managers are responsible for collecting these items:
Monitor
Mouse
Keyboard
Printers
Phone
Headsets
Power Supplies
Docking station
Cubes sell on eBay, might as well get some $ out of them.
I should've returned my anniversary cubes.
I sent back everything that was owned by WF, plus an outdated monitor that was mine.
They don’t care about monitors, keyboards or your mouse. It is cheaper to buy new if needed than it is to store them. If they kept all of the, they would need warehouses to store it in. They don’t even keep the furniture if an office is closed.
By policy, all Wells Fargo cheap -a** electronics and data-bearing devices that you have — laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, badge, credit card, hard token, corporate phone.
In practice, the only critical items are laptop and corporate mobile, as they have serial #s tied to your LAN-ID that they track.
I had to give back all my pins and pin banner.
Are most of you people not supposed to be working right now? 😡
You must return laptop, badge and business credit card (if you have one). If you don’t return your laptop you will be hounded. The rest of the stuff, not so much
You should see all the old headsets in our mail room lol. They do not need them.
The cardboard box I used to take my personal effects home
Hybrid office/remote worker, recently severed - they asked for 1 headset (I had three) and the laptop. No mention of badge, monitors, docking station, etc.
@bqh+1rWtCWrQ When I was laid off in 2022 I didn't have to return the headset. They also want the RSA dongle back.
When I left they wanted the laptop, badge and headset(weird)
I haven't been laid off but as far as I know the only thing they have an asset tag on is the laptop. They don't track monitors, keyboards, mice, etc.
Company issued phone too.
I have extra monitors and equipment I've collected over the years. I wonder what will happen with all of that, myself.
for most the only thing if value that they have an official record of is your laptop. If you have a company issued cell phone they will ask for that as well.
