All I kept thinking listening to that united/linkedin discussion was yup all our jobs are going to India.
Unfortunately, 75+% of the execs making the decision on who to RIF and what contracting companies to keep or get rid of are Indian. And these execs get a lot of kickbacks from Indian government and Indian contracting companies.
HCL is a farce. Been there since VZ rebadged me in Nov 2023. We do our same job we did at VZ, but HCL pays us while their Indian employees watch us to learn. Come Nov 2024 we will all be layed off. Thank god we get the VZ severance if layed off in the first 2 years at HCL. Most rebadgers are job shopping. This was just Verizon’s way of laying off 5000 people without looking bad to the press.

HCL is absolutely useless
Verizon is an Indian company and American in branding only.
India is far more efficient and pennies on the dollar compared to the lazy, entitled union bloat we have in the USA.
