“It’s about to get real for the union slugs. Just walk already, or is it just another all talk no action. Oh wait, we’ll work under the old contract as the company continues to hammer away at pay, benefits and job security. You guys have no way out, you’re about to get taken to school, hope you saved your money….it’s fun to watch you guys squirm.“

The feeling is mutual. I also enjoy watching you guys squirm when management layoffs are being announced. When managers are being asked to RTO 1 day a week, no now 2 days, no wait now 3 days a week. All the conversations I hear about why it’s not fair. 5 days a week is coming so live your destination, and pack your bags because the company is playing a game called musical work locations to see who doesn’t get a seat! See ya!

My spouse works and has medical insurance so, no problem.

Same here. I can use the time off.

The company will still continue paying our medical (minus our premiums which will come out of pocket).

Everyone I know voted, yes to strike, shouldn’t be long now or we may wait till it’s closer for D3 to walk. Let’s have unity with D3 and get a fair contract. Doesn’t matter to me, I’m ready to walk now. 4-6 months off would be a nice break. My spouse works and has medical insurance so, no problem.

Here is a preview of the contract when all the drama is over and after a ULP walkout. A good contract is where both sides are not totally satisfied

4 or 5 year contract

Wage increases with COLA capped 5% @ yr

4-5% 1st year
3% 2-4 years

Medical continues at 29% employee cost
A few working rules and conditions with be changed or improved
Paid MLK holiday
Lump sum continues
Pension funding continues at same 1% rate
Small increase in the match for cash balance
A few changes to appendix E

You will work without a contract, deal with it.

I’ve always been impressed with the west coast’s union until this week. Did you’ll get paid off like the upper management to fall in line? Is there a strategy?

“ When is the vote over so we can get this strike started, quit di-king around. It will get settled much quicker when we walk.”

Was always going to get MLK and medical, just bargaining chips for their real intent, to move work from the top titles to much lower paid Prem. Not going to work, entry level positions want a path for upward progression in wages, retirement and job security.

Cwa is yanking your chain. If MLK is not a recognized holiday then why does management have it off. Working holidays should be double pay which means more money. 2% raises are less than the adjusted cost of living so it should read 2% on top of the adjusted cost of living.

No gains for PremTechs
No gains for Service Reps

Only getting more work. Accept that the transfer of work will happen. We can't change this.

This will become a core tech vs company game.
