Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

In office time?

Looking to accept a position but unclear if there are time requirements for how long is spent in office on in office days. Are there requirements for this? Thank you in advance

it's not being tracked at present and managers can't see it on the attendance reports. Someone in the thread said you have to be in office 4 hrs to count on reporting - that's not true. any time badged in or connected to network counts. 4 hrs PTO counts as one day in office for reporting purposes

Gaming gets found out eventually. I've seen it a few times already and the hammer's been coming down harder and harder...

At this moment in time, one badge swipe and any amount of time connected to the office network will count as an in-office day on the corporate tracking, at least for the reporting my department uses. I know this for a fact. You need to use at least 4 hours of PTO for it to count as a day though.

In terms of how long you’re actually expected to be there, that’s up to your department/boss.

you have the ask your manager. although corporate dictates 5 hrs in the office so you don't get flagged, your manager might have their own set of rules. trust me on this, the manager will have people to spot if you are there at that time or not. ask this info though, if you are pretty young expect the manager to control the in office flexibility if you're not that, you should be fine.

Don't know, but did find it interesting that geographic location was listed as a diversity dimension in our latest round of DEI training...

Two different things here.

There are departmental rules that will be highly dependent on your particular leader.

There are corporate rules around minimal number of days spent in office. For those, you need to be in office for 4 hours/day in order for it to count on the corporate HR reports.

My area is min of 4hrs and 3 days a week. Some areas are 8 hrs all week. Depends on your manager.

Don’t accept the position. You’ll regret it.

Hiring manager and/or recruiter should have told you the expectations regarding time in office.

Yes. It depends on your boss and department. Some people come in for 15 minutes, some people have to be there the full day and they have to pick a set schedule. I think it’s like any other job where flexibility on anything is dependent on your manager. Hope this helps.

depends on if your boss and/or leadership are in the same office and if they care.
