WF data breach who's getting blamed

Looks like Wells Fargo came public on a data breach, wondering which department is going to get blamed... Will it be us only? What line of business? One things for sure the CEO and his board of stakeholders are still going to rake in the cash while the front line workers pay the price... The CEO started the layoffs stating it's an internal inefficient processing structure and so forth now I'm wondering is the CEO's Grand layoff scheme the leading cause to the data breach and if so which 10 20 or 30 year employee who had that tribal knowledge and didn't share it with anyone did they lay off? .... Fun times to come I'm sure will the layoff train increase or are they going to hire more in a particular department to "address the issue"?

The employee that did the deed has been fired. Other than that, I hope they r looking at the system that scans and traps emails sent outside the firm since it must have missed these

An employee sending sensitive customer company data to his or her email is negligent on their end. Do they not have required trainings? I'm sure they do as there can be a lot of red tape with sensitive data working at a bank. Being let go seems justified

This latest one was apparently an employee who emailed to their personal email a couple of customers personal mortgage information. It looked like it only impacted those 2 users. The employee was fired.
