Quiet Firing. It’s real and happening here!

“Quiet firing is an informal term for the practice in which employers make workplace conditions worse for employees with the intent of driving some of them to quit. The term implies that this is done secretly or at least subtly enough to make it appear unintentional”

Payback for all the quiet quitting a few years ago (not specific to BNYM). Karma.

Happened to me three years ago. I calmy handed in my resignation and walked out the door with my middle finger in the air. Best decision I ever made!

How exactly does this RTO mandate work for all of the folks with sweet bases at home deals?

You haven’t seen anything yet. Between RTO and this new platform , a lot more will be displaced. They have no intention on keeping anyone unnecessarily they think their automation project will cut teams by half

it is not only RTO, people are being told their jobs do not fit within the Agile Framework, work taken away, but then they are not being placed in any other areas...its just like sitting ducks waiting to get laid off while trying to find something else in this horrible market.

Follow RTO, plain and simple. People act like they never worked in the office prior to covid.

Get the F back to office work or find another job. Crybabies

This is exactly what is happening. Attrition levels are lower than expected so management tries to push employees to leave. Then next step is to fire employees that do not adhere to the RTO policy, These people will be fired for cause and not receive sub pay. What a classy organization!
