Hoping that "touchbase" wording implies future ongoing communications.

If your HR manager is on the "touchbase" it is not good.
I’m hoping for a new reporting structure and my manager, director being gone . Happy you’re still here
I was effectively demoted but they left my salary in the same band so I don’t qualify for severance if I don’t accept the new role. TBH a layoff would have been better for me.
I just had mine. Got the invite from SD with whom I never worked with. They informed me about new reporting manager and title change.
Thank you OP for the quick reply. Glad you're safe.
OP - No. It was my current skip manager/slash manager since the role above has been vacant for 1.5 years
OP is your new manager the same one who had the meeting with you? I have a similar meeting at 10:30 with a SrDir I've never worked with.
OP here - same job, same area of concern, new reporting structure.
phew!
Mine said touch base and I got laid off yesterday.
The silence is deafening. I guess hearing nothing until... 5PM, means you are 'safe' this round? My morale is at an all time high.
I had similar "Org Transformation Touchbase" yeaterday with my SD and was to share updates. They could be reading from readout that they received from HR.
Sounds promising! And like you’ll know either way soon. The silence in my org feels quite loud.
Good luck. "Touch base" does sound more like just an update meeting.
Good luck!
