I’ve heard from multiple people directly, above Director level, that some BUs are bracing for layoffs and NOT a VBO announcement. In the current climate with so many other shops cutting staff, they don’t think negative press will register. Anyone else hear similar news?!?

Anyone have timing on this?
Hurry Up and do it!! Waiting! 🙋🏾♀️
Could be true.
Small well publicized layoff to instill fear and quiet those rumblings about WFH changes.
Since “leadership” is fear based at Fidelity, this would get people to fall in line.
As that multiple competitors did a layoff already, we are over due.
20% or heads roll it’s the grim reality that the Johnsons expect for their continued interest in FMR co. Hail the grim reaper Roger into PI!
@brandon you were new to Fidelity once you arrogant 💩 they could’ve been talking about you, BU - ba----d under/performer
Take a look in the mirror you’re the problem. BU XO
I wouldn't be surprised to see layoffs or extended VTO offered. They're giving groups flextime off the phones during tax season.
Why is that everyone angry on tech team especially Devops in Boston fidelity???
My group is adding heads everywhere, like within the past few weeks.
Stfu about dev ops in Boston
@1oxu+1re9eXMg - it stands for Business Unit, LOL.
So are they not giving 2 weeks of severance for every year with a layoff?
Wouldn't surprise me if they cut after tax time when it's slower
What BU's would most likely cut? I'm in customer service lol
what is a BU lol
What about Tech Teams in Boston - Especially Devops side? Any News
no and my group is still backfilling everyone who leaves and just added to staff. Certainly not in customer facing roles.
