My team has been stripped of talented and hard working people over the past two and a half years. I work for three people. If they occasionally bring on someone new, the quality of their work is, as a rule, much lower than the previous teammates. Then I have to invest a lot of time and effort with them just to eventually make them useful. It all feels so pointless, running in circles. Maybe I should just leave this place already.

That’s what management wants, you dummy. There isn’t time to do it right the first time, but there is always time to redo it.
Far worse lies ahead for those who are unwilling to leave.
It is only going to get worse. Do not procrastinate, think about about your future now. Start looking for a new job whilst you are still in employment. Do not make excuses to you yourself, trust me.
