Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Has anyone been disciplined for RTO non compliance?

Has anyone been formally warned or terminated?

What’s so sad about that? They simply opted to quit coming to work and quit their jobs. If they happen to have children I feel very sad for their children. There’s no hope for them growing up in that environment.

I have no sympathy whatsoever for them. I hope that they grow up and become productive workers.

Excellent. I think that Robin just might be able to save his Bank after all…

And NYC bankers voted overwhelming for this.

@2hjy, and $243,360 per year to monitor the invasion shelters.

Absolutely. There are firings for cause, I.e., no package, for non-RTO compliance.

That’s exactly what should be happening and it’s the very reason why there have been no significant layoffs. Why would the Bank layoff people with a package when so many employees are quitting their jobs because of a simple commute?

It’s a beautiful thing that Robin is doing and it may just save the Bank.

Yes. Colleague was terminated for cause. Cause being non compliance with the RTO policy.

@3uco

How is that sad? They essentially quit their jobs. Should they be rewarded for goofing off?

@2taj

Remember, virtually all bankers vote left and have no right to complain.

still not sure why the direct manager is not dealing with it if its a problem. Its a joke that Sr Mgt is spending so many hours managing this...let the Managers do what they are being paid for to manage teams.

I was told next month there will be a formal warning. Anyone not compliant the following month will be terminated with no severance. My response...so what you are saying is I will only be working here another two months.

@qgz

So happy that Robin now has the whole picture and we are getting our Bank back.

Hopefully we’ll all once again be proud to admit that we work/worked here.

New york giving food and stay for illegal immigrants but those who worked here for 20 years are laid off from BNYMellon with that reasoning.

Note : I was laid-off from bnymellon on Feb-27.

Not personally but automatic emails were sent out to those who did not make the requirement. They had to acknowledge the email.
