Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Working at AT&T can't be healthy

Does anybody else feel like they're in an abusive relationship with their job? Or is that just me?

I make very good money working only between 15-20 per week, love the freedom, but there is way too much oversight and micromanagement! I can deal with it as long as I keep getting those full-time paychecks for part-time work!

Your getting paid better at a job that you could get anywhere else and you complaining that its abusive? So ungrateful.

I dropped 30 lbs once I was surplus'd, without thinking I was doing anything different, I attributed it to stress. That was 5 yrs ago, the weight has never come back...

I worked here as a prem tech 2007-2017ish. Glad to see nothing has changed. Busting your #$@ over ridiculous metrics, managers backstabbing you and throwing you under the bus, constant bs meetings how we all su-k and need to do better. You hit your numbers they raise them, you don't they threaten to fire you. Techs cheating the system or not clocking OT to raise their metrics and for the rest of us so they can get burned out and quit leaving the rest of us to keep up with the performance of a ghost. Managers posting up around the corner to catch you slipping up on some safety bs like cones so they can suspend you cause you spoke up and pi---d them off in a meeting. Ahhh I miss the family atmosphere they created. I'm still paranoid to this day from the decade of he-l they put me through.

Yeah, but the "divorce" will be final in April, so just rolling with the punches until then.

Hey goof troop. A few notes to consider. The majority of people who have invested 10 or more years here can’t just quit unless they don’t make enough to care. If you’re well into the 6 figures, you can’t just leave and expect to find a job this good overnight.
