Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Location strat is just to kick us or make us leave

My reading of the location strategy is to have an excuse for layoffs en masse, and also to motivate people to leave on their own, so no severance pay. I have been considering looking for another job. With all the turmoil in the banking sector, it may be smart to get on the market early. On the other hand, I do not want to let them play me and save on my severance.

I will be completely honest. If you’re not in a hub you’re pretty much done so start looking get your resumr ready!

It's just a litigation-proof way of picking the next wave of displacements. After that, they'll target those lacking in spans & layers.

I personally don’t believe the purpose behind location strategy is to force people out. That would mean they actually thought about us one way or the other. They don’t. We are numbers.
Shifting the numbers around looks good on paper. That’s it.
