Laying off some remote workers, sparing others after publishing a location strategy . Does it call for a class action suite ?

Move on … some of you were dead weight anyway
Highly unlikely to get anywhere with legal action . A corporation has the right to make a business decision and lay people off. WF has made it easy on themselves because they can say that layoffs are result of location strategy rather that target EEs due to age, race, performance.

You do know that the only winners in class action suits are the lawyers, right? Members of the class get peanuts.
Assuming there was a valid cause (and there is not in the case), such lawsuits take years to come to trial and are usually settled just before they do. You’ll be long gone working elsewhere when you get your $1.40 settlement.

Your curse on losing the jobs will hurt the greed that these actions causing innocent citizens.

Why join a company with an asset cap and consent decrees? Why subject clients to a poorly managed company? Avoid these issues by seeking quality employers. Why waste time?
I would start with understanding the difference between law suite and lawsuit.
Just because some remote workers haven’t been laid off yet doesn’t mean they won’t be.
On what grounds? WF is allowed to fire you without notice.
Should have unionized when we had the chance and built in some protections for labor. Instead, here we are.
Good luck with that.
