Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

New pod stuff is OUT OF CONTROL

already. They have now sent 3 meeting invites less than 5 business hours before the meeting is supposed to start.
Just got an email at 3 pm for a Monday morning 9 am meeting.

On Wednesday night i got a meeting for Thursday at 9 am.

Have 24 hours of training next week.

Week of March 15th we are expected to give 4.5 hours a day to training.

The lack of planning and transparency is ASTOUNDING!! Can’t wait to see what else goes wrong. This is a joke.

Our Pods really freshen our laundry. Count me as a fan.

Many divisions especially ASE is run by incompetent oldie long timers; only a huge leadership reshuffle can save this pack of cards from falling

If you’re new you gotta learn how to to multitask… most of the bank have learned that long ago.

Five hours before a meeting is plenty of time. That is, plenty of time if you’re in the office and not an anti-RTO warrior.

This is complete chaos. If Pods or P-m Poms or whatever the they’re called this week wouldn’t they organize or at least clarify them?

Robin has clearly never been a leader or he would understand how to manage

@Op

Open the Pod door Hal. There’s no intelligent life down here.

Most of the time POD (or platforms or P-M - whatever the phrase of the week is) meetings get cancelled or pushed multiple times, so don’t hold your breath it will happen when they say it will. They’re rushing it when they’re not ready. I guess this will truly be a lesson in working in agile way. Maybe that’s the lesson.

What’s a pod? First I’m hearing about it.

Thanks to pods. I now have 6 hours of meetings day and meetings are scheduled minutes before they happen and a lot of times are scheduled out of normal working hours. No time to actually do work.

It's chaotic and unnecessary.
