Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I’ll go nuts from anxiety

We are constantly under threat of layoffs. Also, we are constantly being jerked around with RTOs, location strategy, cuts and reorgs. Then you have a week like this, when worrying and panic go through the roof because of the uncertainty and tension. I just can’t cope with this cr-p anymore.

“I am having a second interview this week with a small regional bank.”

I’m not so sure I’d go to a regional bank right now because a lot of them might start to fail when the Fed’s BTFP ends on March 11.

It is my decision, and severance or death. If I get downsized, I'll be fine, but I'm not giving those pieces of S in Hudson Yards what they want. Not happening. They've termed to many friends and good people that didn't deserve it. I'm in a place where I can afford to hold out, so if Shart wants me gone, he's gonna have to pay. 52 buddy, start writing the check. Do it.

Welcome to Well life! Be sure to identify your pronoun and go into the office to collaborate with Prakash across the world, he's just like us so we are told.

I am having a second interview this week with a small regional bank. Their recruiter saw my profile on LinkedIn and asked if I would be interested in talking with the bank. If I am offered the job, I may take it or pass on it, but at least I am in control instead of Chuckie. I advise each of you to do the same to the extent possible.

Just remember that this company does not care about you ,or about the many years of service and contributions one has made to the company. The bottom line is that we must take care of ourselves. You are what matters most. Do not let WF prevail. WF is the evil enemy of companies and the entire leadership is filled with a_ _holes who only care about themselves. They are all devoid of integrity, feelings, fairness or empathy.
Karma is a b_ _ch, their day will come.

Hells Fargo is an abusive employer. I put up with it for almost 15 years and am glad I'm gone.

It certainly is not worth your health/mental health BUT if you can wait it out, I highly suggest it. We’ve all earned our severance…especially not through all of this non-“transparency” b_ullsh_t. I hope we can all stick it to him. Don’t let them win this stupid game.

I get it. I now routinely sign on after work to see if I received a confidential meeting invite. I figure at least then I’ll know instead of another day or week of waiting.

The person who said “the cruelty is the point” is spot on, unfortunately.

Yes, this situation su-ks. Yes, our leadership su-ks. And no, we cannot do anything to change it. However, you are still in control. Severance is beginning to look like a ball and chain. I'm not advising people just throw it away. But I read alot of comments about severance or death. All I'm saying is you control your destiny. Do not allow WF to control everything. Make YOUR decision, don't let WF make the decision for you.

The cruelty is the point. Don't let them win. Get the severance - you've earned it!

Wells Fargo will give you 60 days notice and severance transition if you are displaced.

The Grim Reaper will give you none of that.

If you keep letting yourself get stressed with the former you may end up having to deal with the latter.

Recognize your priorities.

Quit getting worked up over things you can't control. Go into the office b/c of RTO. Do your job to the extent you can. Layoffs are going to happen, nothing you can do about it. Just plan for it-- you'll get severance and then look for a new gig.

I've been thru so many of these reorgs, layoffs, changes, etc. Even got laid off around 08 right around the holidays-- just lived my left, then got a job in the new year in a different org. Yeah, things are different now, but again nothing you can do about it so worrying only affects your mindset.

@irb+1rnTxbMo. Aren't those "wells life " the worst thing they've ever put on Teamworks?

There, there. It's gonna be okay.

I am sure someone with your qualifications would have no trouble finding a top-flight job in either the food service or housekeeping industries.

I suggest going out and finding it.

I survived, you will too.

RTO is fairly simple. Location strategy should be fairly known at this point. You're right about layoffs but now that should be fairly evident with location strategy
