Manager getting laid off, likely

It cracks my a-s up, that you’re gonna give me a “meets inconsistently” after leave for surgery, never got a bad rating after 28 years, but now!

I took on coding and wasn’t getting paid for it and did major projects, but he told me that I just didn’t do enough projects!

I think he’s trying to protect me and get me the eff out of here, before they lay me off!

My manager is in a remote area and he’s pretty much going to be gone now with location strategy, I don’t think he’ll get a relocation package.

Whatever!

There are many layers of management at WF. In tech, the agile methodology was not integrated into the existing management. so the wagile (or agile-like) adoption created two more pseudo-management levels (the product owner and scrum master).
As a coder, you barely had time to code. Why? Well, I remember going to all the Wagile events; daily standups lasting way longer than the customary 15 minutes, and multiple sprint planning sessions since WF lacked any analysts who knew how to gather requirements and user stories, no product development (since there is no definition of the WF customer). I could go on and on.
This will not end well.

Most middle to high level managers I see around this place are insecure parasites. What value are they adding beside creating busy work?
