Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why aren’t executives required to relocate to where their teams have a large presence?

Does location strategy not apply to them?

They are considered essential for some reason and it is all subjective

The entire purpose of the location drama is to get rid of undesirable employees, which is another way of saying American employees. Especially anyone that's been here longer than Shart. He hates you on a very irrational and emotional level. Regardless of your position, be believes you are the problem with this company. As a result, he will do everything in his power to get rid of you. There's just two flies in the ointment: first, severance for 150k employees would be excessively expensive and he wants to get rid of people cheap. Second, I&P, contractors, and AI isn't ready to take over all of these tasks just yet. They'll get there, but you can't just flip a switch and make it happen instantly.

So that's the bottom line, Shart will systematically torment us with fake reasons for why we 'have' to be laid off. RTO, location strategy, bogus corrective actions, and on and on it will go until we're all gone from either direct impact or give up under the strain of the never ending chaos / BS and willingly walk away from our severance.

Resist the urge dear friends. Don't give them what they want. They don't deserve it. Severance or death.

We all know rules don’t apply to privileged elites. Wake up! Someone call Elizabeth Warren.

Impossible to be colocated if you have a geographically dispersed team. Thankfully there's this new invention called the internet...

Managers should be in the same location as their staff. How else are we going to excel in a collaborative environment?

The same reason the executives don’t follow DEI, they are above what the minions do.

In general they are, and some resign/retire when it becomes unacceptable to them - I have seen it at other companies.
