Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How to survive the coming period?

So at least the whole March will be a bloodbath? All while the workplace is peaking in managerial mess and tension? I predict high morale and productivity in the coming weeks (months?), as well as the reinforcement of the foundations of our physical and mental health. Why am I working here, again?

The banks were part of the scamdemic. They knew exactly what they were doing before the scary virus was released.

whether you are on PTO or not, they will lay you off. Come in and do your work and start applying for other jobs. At least if you do get laid off you will get some form for severance so you have a few months to find something. hope for the best plan for the worst.

No, I'm "angry" because our would be leaders are all Fing liars, and they constantly insult us by telling lies that even a 6 year old could see through. They actually expect us to believe what they are saying. It's highly offensive, and is clearly having a negative impact on the business due to tanked morale. The only "skill" this company cares about anymore is whether or not you're in India and will work for less $. They are on a mission to exterminate all US non-exective workers, but oh look, an email telling me how much they appreciate what I do every day. Bull Fing $hit.

If my words upset you you shouldn’t take it personal. It’s just truth that you never had the opportunity to realize in the past.

We all need to just accept that Wells Fargo made the decision to start all these changes back in 2019 and we were granted a stay due to Covid. Now that the tides have changed this is happening and there is no changing it.

For the sake of your own mental health figure out how to make the situation work for yourself. Assume the inevitable. If you feel like you are out of time then you have been disconnected for years as this has been going on for that long. But don’t let that stop you from taking whatever is your step one today.

I have several friends here that have finally realized they let WF lull them into skills stagnation and it’s totally their own fault. Now they are scared. This explains all the anger on this board to me. Thousands upon thousands of employees hidden in the chaff, grandfathered in, because Wells didn’t do any headcount growth management for decades and are now upset and scared that they are being let go for what was acceptable for so long.
