Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Sneaky leadership

The way we were jumped by layoffs will be followed by leadership behaving as if nothing happened. That’s the new norm. Ultimate disrespect for living, breathing human beings. Complete disregard for their professional achievement and personal lives depending on their livelihood. All we can expect in the future is more sneak attacks.

Not the new norm. Pretty norm for all businesses.

I survived 2/3 of the layoffs my department was going through. I was able to get a job but this time seems like real layoffs

The severance is garbage, 3 months pay and some subscription to a job hunting service which is beyond useless. No bonus percentage. All of those let go with less than 5 years with the firm will also lose out 401k matching that hasn’t vested as well as those with less than 10 years will lose 100% of the money in RHRP account.

Give them nothing... but take from them, everything. Bare minimum. Why bust your a-s just to get laid off too?
