Why don’t they RTO? And those employees that don’t come back, lay them off.
Of course its real and not rumors. Expect 4-8% RIF every year. Its just life at VZ. Plan and prepare!
Then come the July, August and September layoffs.
Layoffs in June confirmed. However, they can only occur after March, April, and May layoffs have been completed.
Worked for the company for 30yrs before retiring. BA before it turned into VZ, and there were RIFF's almost every single year I was there, it was just part of the deal. Of course there were over 230k employees at one point, and there are how many left now, a bit over 100k? It's been 20+ yrs since the last big merger... You'd think they should be about done “right sizing” by now.
Even better rename this website to uniontroll.com it seems the unioners have contaminated this page in search of their EISP handout that will never come. Being armchair quarterbacks from their bucket trucks sitting idle in the McDonalds parking lot. Being miserable and jealous of others in wireless with their high compensation and frequent bonuses that typically lead to an early retirement while they toil away well into their 60's on a meager hourly wage.
This website needs to be renamed Verizon management layoff. Why take a job where your going to be worried about keeping it half the time that's Crazy. With all.the opportunity in the world you would rather do what your told smh
Of course it's true. That's the only lever VZ management has to improve profits...have to cut costs. God knows the network advantage is long dead.
Riffs are a part of VZ life. No need for 'rumors' when or if it's going to happen regardless. Read into whatever you want about what anyone says or insinuates. Just plan and be prepared.
Wake me up when you have something concrete. There's a new "rumor" about RIFs darn near every week.
As in massive, and hitting across the board incl RTO peeps.
