Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

People have had enough of Honeywell

No wonder we can’t find anyone good willing to work here. By now, everyone knows how terrible this place is. Things are only going to get worse as time goes by and as more and more of the talent leaves with nobody coming to replace them. Let's see how long will Honeywell be able to function if the only ones left are those who are not good enough to find a job somewhere else.

This kind of death is a slow circling of the bowl. The mass exodus has been underway since I started in 2011 as a contractor. It went to full speed around the same time I left in 2022 for better pay, better benefits, less hours, and better working conditions at a competitor. The problem for Honeywell is that it has earned the same terrible reputation that Allied Signal did right before it bought Honeywell. And now, the rest of the industry, customers, and potential employees are all keenly aware of it. The attrition of the real talent has gone the way of the dodo in favor of the woke, broke, joke that is DEI. DEI is just a misspelling of DIE. That's what it does to companies.

HON UOP refuses to pay for license renewals such as adobe acrobat, complains that it costs too much $169, but everyone needs it! How about the as*hole exec that orders a 6oz Wagyu steak at $240, but the company refuses to pay for needed software, business cards, and office supplies, mean while staff are washing their dishes where they take a dump! I'm sure things will be even worse after the move mid year.

There is less and less interesting work anymore, and the best and the brightest simply aren't interested.

Not true. A lot of people from GE willing to work here. They keep hiring GE in my department.

The massive barrage of fake reviews on various job sites speaks to desperation of this odious corporate cult and their lack of ethics.

That review is straight off an HR recruiters desk. Hits all the HW talking points to lure the highest quality personnel.

At the putrid Ottawa location bootlickers are enlisted to post vowmit like this on Glassdoor:

It is a proud to be Futurshaper
Anonymous Employee
Current employee, less than 1 year
Ottawa, ON

Pros

Good place to work with very respectful colleagues, where you are always learning new things. I like the Honeywell's Sustainability strategy and their Inclusion and Diversity, you feel yourself with your family.

Cons

So far so good. Nothing to be mentioned, just Keep Shaping the Future.

Honeywell Revenue and Employees
2017 40.5B, 131,000
2018 41.8B, 114,000
2019 36.7B, 113,000
2020 32.6B, 103,000
2021 34.4B, 99,000
2022 35.5B, 97,000
2023 36.7B, 95,000

2024 projections 38.9B, 91,000

DaveC Left April 1 2018, DEAd immediately starting cutting and pillaging. He never stopped. We will be expected to meet the same AOP and OI with 91,000 employees as with 131,000 employees. Don’t get me started on the percentage of the 91,000 that are now low cost versus what was US based in 2017.

@wlr+1ruzU2ZF If you look at employee numbers since 2008 there has been an exodus, slow and steady for sure but an exodus none the less and in real world terms the business is considerably worse than what it was in the early 2000's. So mass exodus no, but steady and increasing decline, absolutely. Honeywell is huge so it won't disappear overnight but I will bet my house it will be split up and just remain as a licensed brand name within the decade.

Was out in Phoenix last week and drove by the facilities near Sky Harbor. They had a poster outside the gate basically saying “We’re Hiring”, with a QR code that I suppose took one to the jobs (sorry, “careers”) website. I couldn’t confirm as I was driving.

That they feel the need to do that says much.

No one wants to believe it, but this site has been predicting the mass exodus since 2008. Still haven't seen it. Comments are exactly the same and yet Honeywell is still here. Just stating a fact. Not being pro or con. Let the down votes begin.

There will be a high number leaving this year after they receive their bonuses.
Seen too many pushed over the edge last year, Honeywell is a disgusting place to work.
