Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Are they tracking number of hours in for connect week?

They say no in the FAQs of the September update to dynamic working but I’m wondering if that’s true.

You tell me just how much you trust what they say after all this.

They absolutely track hours it just isn’t on the report your manager sees. People have been let go for just badging in and out.

You and your manager are able to see swipe in/out times in workday

Yes they are, it’s just not visible in workday. Everything at fidelity is tracked and the cameras are better than at banks.

There are literal departments on my floor who leave at around 1 and don't get told anything. I doubt they're tracking hours.

You only get credit for the day if you work 4 or more hours. Beware!

Managers cannot see hours on-site, only whether associates are on-site on any given day. You’d be a fool to think that badging activity is not time-stamped, but for now, time on-site is not a factor.

I constantly show up for an hour at most and dip. Never have been told anything and have not been promoted to customer yet

Can confirm I was layed off and was consistently a high performer, but attempted exceptions to the in-office requirement (they were approved but still reported to execs). I would be very careful with the in-office requirement.

They are collecting the data and I agree they’ll likely use it. But right now I can confirm you do get credit simply for badging in. As a people manager, all I can see is how many days my directs attended onsite. Not how many hours.

Would be interesting to find out how many of recent layoff were either vocal about connect weeks or not attending them as expected it.
They may be stacking the deck come Sept. .

I’ve gotten credit on being onsite 6-7 hours and leaving early to beat traffic. The FAQs say they don’t track hours, but given how sh---y management here is and the layoffs around the company, it’s a risky move

They are collecting the data. It's just a matter of time!
