Full 40 hours on connect week?

Why is it that a good amount of people go home at 1-2? I thought 8 hours per day was required for connect weeks?

I go in for 1-2 hours a day max. But keep in mind I am on-call 24x7 so I do work like 80-120 hours a week

The people who point out people leaving at “1or2” were the one’s I saw strolling in at 10am, so there is that ….mind your business fool.

No, people taking advantage and not even showing up for their connect weeks is why it's going to 2 weeks... Pretty sure they didn't just spitefully make it 2 weeks just because some people complained.

Because you are watching what others are doing and others are doing actual work.

Mind your business and do your work. Stop watching what other people are doing. Complainers like you are the reason we have to go in 2 weeks.

This highlights the lack of defined policy. Different leaders in my group give different answers. I’m not sure anyone knows all of the requirements to satisfy a connect week, including those making the policy. I suspect not having it published is intentional to give “them” room to shift directions and/or expectations as they wish.

Because it’s not being reported to managers. But like they did with number of days in office, I wouldn’t be surprised if they suddenly made the hours per day visible to managers with back history.

Right now they’re still easing people back into office from 3 years of W4H and they want to lessen the backlash by not giving the micromanaging middle manger types tools to annoy folks who might then just leave.

No, manager said only reporting show or no show, not by hours. As long as you badge in/out, you good for a day.

P/S the layoff kinda like a "warning" to all, you gonna come back office or find another job lol its gonna packed in the office from now.

Some people get in at 7am so if they’re leaving at 2 when they have a break between meetings and finishing up at home, they’re working more than a full day. I don’t think anyone said 8 hours a day in office was a requirement of dynamic working. Just that they want you in every day, for a min of 4-6 hours. This is where I think people are at risk if they stay for a few mins or an hour, regularly blow off Fridays, etc. When they say we need to be in all 5 days at a minimum, they mean it.
