Someone gave SM a large pitcher of purple kool-aid at the interview table. The walls of Jericho are coming down and so is the stock price!

Moskowitz replaces Jay Brown, who retired effective Jan. 16. He will receive a 2024 base salary of $900,000; 2024 annual restricted stock units, including time-based and performance-based RSUs, valued around $12.3 million; and 2024 sign-on RSUs valued around $2.4 million, per the April 10 SEC filing.Apr 10, 2024
This anticipation is ki-ling me. At least if I get laid off the stock price can go too. Abysmal performance this year.
The next RIF wont hand picked people it will be whole removal of entire positions titles along with a reorg. That is why it’s not happening next week. They will clean house of network then sell it. It will all happen after Q2.
It's that's true it's not universal. I'm a director in a regional department with a large headcount and we have not been asked to rank anyone and we have not been informed of a pending layoff.
We all had to rank our teams from highest performing to least. However, a lower performing teammate may be kept over a higher performing pending their education and current pay.
Mgmt. was definitely asked to rank employees and identify low performers.
All things considered, I don’t believe there will be a RIF this week. I do believe what is said on the call this week will lay the foundation for a RIF coming in the next couple of months.
I was asked to
No one was instructed to rank their teams and there is no RIF coming. They just hired a CEO. The RIF will come in July.
Directors were instructed to rank employees on their teams not long ago and list them. Sounds like that list is being utilized soon.
Something may happen this week or nothing may happen this week, but the fact that everyone is in constantly wondering about their employment status is telling. Even if this upcoming week comes and goes, the vast majority of employees see another RIF happening sometime this year. If you are not doing everything you can to move on from this company you are making a mistake.
Sorry to break it you. Nothing is happening this week.
If they are planning a RIF it will be in the materials the day before. WARN acts exist too.
When your director shuts their door, you'll know doom is impending.
When it comes, it will be a late-day email and the SEC filing will mention it.
Your severance is likely to be sub-optimal.
But you can't say you didn't know this day would arrive.
I’ll leave when they give me my severance. This company gets no trust from me, no benefit of the doubt and deserves all the criticism that is given.
Why did you stop the rumor at 35% RIF? I would’ve said something along the lines of 45-50% for the shock value.
I bet the earnings call comes and goes. No RIF and it’s all the same old. Now Q2 earnings call that’s a different story. Because it specifically written in the letter with Eliot. The CEO has to be in place to approve the fiber review. Stop with the fear mongering. Just quit if you hate it so much.
I bet there is termination paperwork on every single employee at this company sitting in a file somewhere. They are already created because when your people leaders are asked to give names the paperwork is handed out shortly after. You’ll know something is not right when your people leader is very distant sometime early next week. Here’s to better times!
Expect layoff letter on your inbox after 5pn on April 17th and don't be surprised. The writing has been in large bold letters un the wall since July of last year!!!!!
35% RIF is on the works. Strap on your boots peeps. The inevitable is coming. From executive level down to the bottom. Lean and to the bone as JP from central used to say. Get out before they get rid of you. Don't expect a large severance either. There is no money for you. Only for shareholders. Your loyalty is not appreciated, only theirs.
The RIF was delayed due to his hiring.
It will be announced to employees right before earnings. I mean they could but it would be bad to let your employees know about the RIF during a canned statement to the street.
Typical CCI drivel. Nothing will ever change around here until every EMT and board member have been replaced with people who will drive accountability. There are no consequences for bad performance at CCI and the only ones paying the price are the worker bees.
Can't wait for the 5 pm call. Juicy!
