If resigning, can I just keep calling in sick during my notice period?

Yes you absolutely can and must.
I had a colleague whose Dr. insisted she "NOT GO BACK IN AGAIN" even to get her things, because of the mental anguish it was causing her.
No way was she going to give THEIR required resignation notice time to them - just to be bullied and blamed for everything one more day; genuine mental health protection counts as sick days.
On the basis you’ve resigned I’m not sure I see much point? You’ve essentially ‘won’ for want of a better word - you’re leaving. They can’t do anything to you now. Obviously take any outstanding leave if you’re just going to be paid for it but unless you really are sick, just come in / log in at 9, log off at 5 and enjoy no stress. It’s entirely possible you may encounter your colleagues at other employers so just leave in good standing and don’t go overboard with work until you leave.

Nah, for everything BNYM puts you through, go ahead and take those sick days. It’s not their business what you’re sick with.
Yes you can! I retired recently and called in sick multiple times during that period. In case someone else trolls this response - I never took a sick day in 23 years since our group was so busy I could not take sick days given the amount of work. And don't forget to use every accrued vacation day since BNY doesn't pay for those accrued days when you leave.
And if anyone else wants to further troll my response - during the height of covid, peoplewere taking the max of 2 weeks off when they were covid positive but weren't necessarily sick. I had covid and was actually sick. I suffered through real symptoms for a week - and kept on working. Some times we do act like adults in our jobs, and taking our sick days when leaving is one way to get minimal benefits out of BNY.
I feel bad for your next employer because it’s definitely not getting an honest and hard working employee! I also feel bad for your current coworkers who have to pick up the slack! People like you don’t deserve a job and I hope your future employers realize that very quickly!
