Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

D9 Strike Vote

Finally my local getting us to vote on strike.

Striking to keep health benefits premiums low, keeping sick time, keeping surplus benefits....

Not striking for core tech work going to premises technicians. As one of the last posts mentioned, bargain committee is now focused on transfer of work and they ignored the transfer of work for all other titles

On the local page or contact your local officials. They will definitely post when we are going to strike.

In the mean time, try some online courses to prepare you for the inevitable need for a third job at Napa to pay for your trailer.

So you now disparage the folks who work at NAPA and earn an honest wage. You are a special type of rooster su---r.
AT&T will be shed of you so enough thankfully.

Times up, wonder when a strike is going to happen? The co tract has already expired so obviously it’s an impasse, ULP.

If you do not vote to give the union the right to strike then you do not have a union. No power to strike means no power. Keep paying those dues . 60% goes to lib Dems for campaigning.

T is in debt to the tune of 143 billion dollars! A long strike would help T pay off some of that debt. All corporations are created to make profits for the stockholders and the officers of the corporation. Please do strike so the suits will get a bigger bonus.

CWA has no ba--s...... They will not declare a work stoppage. Union must appear to be bargaining in good faith, and declaring a Stike will look bad.

Tomorrow (Thursday) is the last day to vote on the strike. Voted yes, will strike when needed.

I voted yes and ready when it is called, work stoppage is leverage. They don’t have tens of thousands on the payroll for charity. Auto companies blustered that they didn’t need their semi-skilled labor nor would they capitulate either, all while their execs were making exorbitant amounts of money and bonuses, sound familiar. Guess what, they came to the table fairly quickly when those stoppages started happening. Looking for a fair contract, that’s it and no regressive proposals.

The same thing happened with the Writers, Actors, Teachers, Medical, UPS, Manufacturing, transportation, etc… the list goes on.

“Your cries are heard but the are not cared about.”

Yet here you are union goof responding…..you slugs are so predictable that even the company knows you have no guts and will slosh around with no contract until you have a skeleton of the the pay, benefits and job security you had. Can’t wait to read it. In the mean time, try some online courses to prepare you for the inevitable need for a third job at Napa to pay for your trailer.

Looks like a nerve got struck. Get it out of your system while you can still say you are an AT&T employee. Vent and lash out.
We can take it. Childish name calling from "managers". Scared and terrified people act childish sometimes.
We see your crying, we will not listen though, much as "leadership" does not listen.
We will be here tomorrow, next week and next year.
You will not.

It is so very nice to to see the non bargained worry, complain and lash out.
Let me guess, you don't have the benefits the Union employees have?

The typical I don't have it so yours is no good complaint. Very juvenile.

The more you cry out means the more you are concerned about the Union "slugs" striking.
Your cries are heard but the are not cared about.

RTO will finish many of you off and this will all be a distant memory, except for all of the bills you can't pay. Those will be a constant reminder. Bill collectors will be a new reality for you.

You union goofs think because you stop working T does too. First , you slugs would need to start to work before you stop.

I feel for the union folks. This is not sarcasm, I was proudly union before joining management.

Strike if you must but you may be out a very long time because this company doesn’t care about the customers, let alone their employees.
I hope Stankey can prove me wrong by settling an agreement before anyone walks

Gotta love this dance of ghosts. The company takes away benefits but approves a paltry raise. The CWA slugs are happy since the union dues are based on hourly wage not benefits. Keep that hard hitting negotiations going! The outcome has already been determined by both parties. Meanwhile just follow the red shirt in front of you .

I voted yes. From talking to other techs, the vote is so close to 50/50. The outcome may be the same whether we strike or not but I'd rather strike and get less than we asked for than not strike and take the scraps we're given. It's obvious from the companies history of layoffs, they couldn't care less about their employees. If I'm going to be treated like $ht by an employer, they're going to get a fight, not a btch who takes it lying down. I have to wonder how hard our union is fighting for us between round of golf with upper management.
