So I posted a link to an article about the sale of BNY Trust Company and it was deleted. Way to go admins!

Does anyone have any idea of how many were laid off in Corp Trust and from which offices?

Isn’t Houston a lease from Hines mgmt? I also thought we have multiple years left on the lease. We don’t own the building so not sure how we could sell it. Sub-lease it or terminate the lease, maybe. With the 1980’s decor and holes in the bathroom floors and bathroom doors that don’t close and stains everywhere, Hines would have to really pay a lot to refresh it before anyone else leases it out.

We sold Houston site???!!! I knew about Dallas but hadn’t heard about Houston. We have Alejandro and Brian Ruane here multiple days next week. They’ve been delaying our promised office remodel (which is about 20 years overdue), that would explain that.

I will believe it when I see it. I may be wrong, but I think what you are describing is related to location strategy. We sold the Houston site and California is a very expensive place to do business.
