I have a coworker that is remote that said in their profile they have a “Flexible Work Arrangement” and it stated it was for Critical Skills. Any idea what it is about?

Flexible Work Arrangements can be setup for those who they only have work part time. Cheaper and easier to pay someone who can work as doc from home until they phase out the underlying technology.
I remember there was a job posting a month ago for a mainframe job. In the description it was described as remote and I’m pretty sure it’s because most people have no experience with mainframe work and making it remote makes the job position being filled possible.

Moxie AND personal friends of OC + 1-2 down. :)
Some people, with managers that have the moxy to request a remote 'exception', are granted WFH. Reviewed annually. Not sure if that buys a lot of time. But exceptions for 'critical' skill are possible to get a free pass and WFH!
