Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

First Quarter Results

Accountants working overtime adding a lot of fluff to create positive spin for the first quarter results. Unsure how much longer this can be sustained. Workers have the pulse of the company, and know we are not doing half as well as will be reported.

With inflation remaining high and the possibilities of the fed cutting interest rates becoming less each passing month. It will drive investors into treasuries, gold, CD’s and dividend paying stocks like AT&T.

Dumpster fire earnings report coming soon. Even with all the accounting tricks John Stephen’s passed on to Paschal there’s no way to dress up this train wreck. Stink fires all the talent and can’t believe the financial turds are bigger than ever. WTF.

Start with the grossly overpaid C suite/officer level. They’re far & away the most “worthy” of termination (sans ‘golden parachutes’).

Budget constraints, upfront orders now need GM or above approvals, holding OT to a minimum while still having layoffs directly , thru audits and relocation. Trying to transfer knowledge base offshore or using contractors, trying to automate everything before testing throughly.

These aren’t signs of a healthy company but you wouldn’t know it by leadership’s hubris. Not cutting back on travel or using commercial, still getting outsized raises bonuses and compensation packages.

Pascal leaning on us hard to capitalize the worthless outsourced labor from India that has not yielded any realizable benefits. Should be expensed now, but need the cash flow to look better and help BUs look better so SVPs earn bonuses. We breaking all kinda GAAP rules for Q1.

When leadership changes the narrative then, so will ours but until then, join the party of doom and gloom. Down 100,000 employees since 2019 says something about the state of the company.

Hey yall ... not fatigued from this old on-going conversation?
ATT is stagnant, no-growth, no innovation, no vision, no increase in stock value ... for YEARS. And people still get on here and talk about it. With all that stamina, yall should be working somewhere else.

Sales were down in first quarter. Not sure by how much across all regions. I think it will similar to Apple disappointing results.except Apple has a healthy cash flow and T doesn’t.
