Salary Inquiry

So with the auto promotion mgrs got to sr mgr (ind. Contr.), what does the current salary range look like for both roles for someone moving into either position?

Also, still so confused on the rationale of auto promoting everyone and ignoring band 7

While linkedin probably counted them as promotions when ranking us a good career company based on data people put there they were just title changes to align with the market.

In my opinion if they are keeping the lowest title in band 6 which was vacated by the change it was more of a demotion for band 7 and belows because now there is another step to get to where everyone else is. In a few months some lucky few might get to move from band 7 to this new less than senior manager title? Wow thanks for the hand out. Hopefully it means some more money for those folks but it’ll probably be less money and a lower title than if they had gotten “level upped” last june.

salary may be same, following year, compensation will be increased, merit percentage will be increased, getting more stock together , may be getting stock options too

News flash... they weren't auto promotions, just title changes. No comp changes, no pay increases.. nothing... just a 'feel good' change. Nothing changed except the title.

Mgt will still deny promotions, deny advances, etc, as they always have done. Zero incentives or repercussions....

For the millionth time, salary ranges are not by band, but by jobcode. And most of the changes in December were not promotions, but simple title changes. Finally, there is no band 6A/6B. There is a band 6V, however, there are varying management levels within that and there is also an IC track vs a Manager track. Band 7 folks will get their chance with the next Level Up cycle.

Good question: ask the Senior Manager and post the answer. Final answer.

they don’t really tell you the range but here is an estimate based on experience. band 6a is like 90-140 and band 6b is 110 - 190.

6B sti is 20% and 6a sti is “lower” but they haven’t said how much. prolly 12-18%
