Congrats, you are doing exactly what you need to do for yourself!!! You will be much happier!!!
Just because they offered buyouts in the past doesn’t mean squat! I was also around 20 plus years but they do a lot of things now that they didn’t before! It’s all about numbers. If they stage a lay off they don’t have to offer anything!! Don’t think for a second they aren’t considering that!! When I started things were much much different! They are a shell of the company they were and without quality people….its gotten worse. Look at what they did in the EU, $336 million dollar fine!! Corporate greed!!! Pigs!

I don’t think waiting around for a package that may not come for a while or at all is the greatest idea. You’re better off going to a different job that pays the same if not more, you’re not so overworked, and you’re treated with respect. Sometimes in life you have to make changes and go wherever the wind blows. This company used to be good in the past but all the changes with mission 1 made the job unbearable. By staying here too much longer you’ll end up becoming your own worst enemy and that’s not good. I’m not saying this as a way to sound insulting because I’ve been there done that myself and wouldn’t want anyone else to have to go through it. I continued to stay at this job that I once liked hoping that things would get better although there were clear indications early on in mission one that I was beginning to hate this job and as time went on I continued to stay here and I ended up becoming my own worst enemy. At first I just hated my job, than I hated my life outside my job and than it eventually turned into me hating the fact that other people are happy with their lives because of how miserable I became. I have a new full time job lined up I start in a few weeks. Can’t wait to give my notice to this hellhole of a company. I’m kinda not happy that it pays a little less than what I make here but I just need to get off this job it’s unbearable but while I have a new job lined up I’m looking for a job that pays better than what I make here I actually have an interview on Tuesday of next week. The goal is to find something that I like, pays better and I’m treated better so the new job I’m going to will only be until I find one that pays more than I make here. All I can say is I can’t wait to get off this job. I hope I’ll feel 10x happier just to be off of it.

Anyone saying that there won't be a buyout is just d-mb. For those of us that have been here for 20 years we've seen a dozen restructures and everytime a buyout has been offered

If they lay more people off again, there will more than likely be the standard severance packages given. Kelloggs gave their employees much better packages when they left DSD and they got to keep their car’s as well. If you think you know and say that there wont be a buyout, you’re just not very bright.

Every big company offers a buyout. Nabisco always does it everytime they let people go why would they not this time..

They'll probably offer you a order writer position and you'll have to buy your car

Sort of stupid to wait! No guarantee there will be a buyout and it’s easier to find a job if you have one!

The ftow order role is clearly the new sales rep role. Changed the name and everything so they could pay less. Maybe they keep some reps in a new role but I would say 75% of the remaining reps will be bought out
