What did they expect to happen when they saturate the 5G market and don’t have any 6G equipment for sale?

What’s their strategy once all the antennas are hung? Their Achilles heel was not having anything to do with Layer 3.

No software defined networking, or contributions to codecs, routing protocols, nothing.

Now, Verizon’s plan for 5G involves converting sites to standalone 5G (n5+n77) “SA Core” from NSA “Non-Standalone”, by slowly converting LTE bands (AWS, CBRS) into DSS bands.

Right now, even when on “C-Band” there is an LTE anchor band for uplink from the mobile device, for sake of range, due to a limited power output from the handset.

This will eventually be done away with once we have n5+n77 on a sufficient amount of towers.
