Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

We have heard about risk but what about audit?

Looks like risk has already been hit to some degree - and may be clobbered further - but what about audit? Is CS keeping his hands off of this group.

As people are leaving they are backfilling in India or not all.

Maybe not in the literal sense, but their rating just finally got upgraded by the regulators. Immediately slashing headcount afterward would seem like a good way to get downgraded again in the next review.

@1oct+1sEXWy7s, As I understand it, you are incorrect.

As I understand it, a good part of Audit’s headcount is still more or less mandated by the regulators. Some people are getting impacted by location strategy but they all have option to relocate. Many of those that don’t may even have their positions backfilled.

@fyp So the people in Denver were given options to relocate to the hubs? There are no ski areas near any of the hubs!

90 audit folks in Denver were given the option to relocate or take severance. So there will def be some movement coming.

Imagine spending the best years (i.e. working years) of your life absorbed with risk/audit... 🤓 🤓 🤓
