Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

My job is going to India

Not Iselin, NJ, actually India. Training has been taking place for a few months now and they want to expedite things. It’s only a matter of time.

If you want to get a chuckle ask a Indian hire to see a transcript from college. Most will tell you they don't have one and the schools don't give them out. It's not true of course.
One I did see had the person taking 11 courses in one semester and on his resume he was working full time as well. It was obviously made up by him. Another I saw had the person getting a Bachelors in 18 months and masters a year later. I found out that they can test out of taking a full class. How much did they learn? Bottomline is you are getting what you pay for.

Let India do branch exams and have them find sales practice related issues. Has anyone noticed the amount of MLS our FAs are pushing to clients who probably don’t know the complexities of? You get what you pay for in life.

You're not alone OP. About half the remaining employees jobs will be headed there over the next several years.

I was offered this in 2007 along with a bonus and quit instead.

Unfortunately, the same is going to happen to me. I've been asked to train the people that will eventually replace me. It is being framed as "we need to free you up to work on other things" as I see two of my 'remote' teammates laid off and replaced by a team in India.
