Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Two BOA employees have died this month for being over worked

I am surprised no one is talking about the two BOA employees that died from being overworked.

I had someone on my team, a mid-30’s, die from the Covid Vaccine right after he was mandated to get it. Just be happy for these guys they got an extra couple years of life.

We sold our souls to the devil for a couple more years of paychecks and going out. Was it worth it?

It's all over the news... I checked the first site and actually read the article. Apparently the OP failed to notice the last line. "Neither of their deaths have been officially linked to working long hours. " Every site i checked all stated sudden cardiac arrest. Neither one was of age where one would expect cardiac arrest due to a blood clot. I wouldn't be surprised if an autopsy showed an atypical underlying disorder. People die for many reasons, both were working more than they should have. Both had the same opportunity to not work crazy hours.

The only reason i can see this happening - is not a result of policy but instead SYMPTOM of our largest problem of all... The deadweight which not only fails to deliver, but makes it harder - on purpose, for achievers to deliver.

These sneaky little bugs aren't filling entire departments. Take a look at some of systematically privalaged folks who LEAN on that privalage. A few examples are

People who selectively play the victim when its most convienient for them
People who cling onto acolades as if acolades are the end all be all (usually these are useless entirely)

Then, one day, an achiever gets his chance to make a play of a lifetime, and those bugs? Well, they bite extra hard when they see that happening. The guy was a green barret, so in his eyes, these incessent little bugs were no excuse for him to fail his play of a lifetime. But the bugs bit as hard as they could, again not only failing to support the man but actually making it more difficult for him intentionally.

After all, nothing threatens systematic privalage like an ex-military guy who comes in steals all the flare.

I have told you mutherfockas on this board before that BOA doesn't give a rats azz about you. All of you can die tomorrow at your cubicle and BOA will have an mo-o in your chair the next day. CEO BM only cares about the shareholders and keeping his job safe. When will you learn that your work effort means nothing.

If you work too long it is your own fault. Draw a hard line in the sand and shut down after an 8 hr day and drive home. If a KPI turns red because there are not enough employees, so be it. If you always make it "green" by putting in a ton of hours nothing will change.. it's difficult to get fired from BofA.

Your bonus will be cr-p if you put in 60 hrs and will be cr-p at 40. Pick 40.

Cause of death was not "being overworked". Let's stop with the sensationalism and give the families of the deceased the respect they are due without sculpting this to fit your agenda.
