Think there is going to be more layoffs next month?

Its crazy how many they have laid off so far, and they are still looking to cut expenses and at the same time they are in the middle of hiring whole teams off-shore. I know of half a dozen off-shore teams that are in the process of getting trained up in the next few months all with multi-year contracts.
The Talent Consultants’ morale is in the pits. Feedback scores are atrocious and they’re taking a lot of heat for the RTO initiative. Thank you Elfio!

That makes sense. RTO and anti WFH rhetoric has got to be impacting disabled workers the most adversely.
HR here. They aren’t worried about WARN notifications. If anything regulatory they’re worried about adversely impacting protected classes- particularly older females and minorities. They are staggering because they are continuously looking for places to make more cuts so they can slate them for 3 months out instead of a year. Also, HR is grossly understaffed and this is all we can handle.
They avoid WARN notices by strategically keeping layoffs small enough but do it every couple months or so. Sneaky! But how long can this go on? I am sure we have whistleblowers that have had enough.
I have been watching for WARN notices but the way the layoffs are being structured, they keep falling just shy of the required number to warrant a WARN notice.
I heard there are several more waves of notifications coming through year end. Next up data science roles. Watch closely what happens to data and who controls it.
