for every LOB

And the poster that says living in SC although <40 is reason to get displaced - that's just false. It's their "remote" status that got them displaced. You probably don't have the whole story - because the policy is, live anywhere you want as long as you show up to the designated office 3x or more per week.

I just had this convo with the team that's running location strategy regarding one of my current, longtime (20+ years) remote TMs and a new hire. both are more than 40 miles from the sanctioned location - both are fine as long as they comply with in-office policies.

No one in SC has been let go in my department and we all report in CLT.

There's some CIC executives that live in SC, so we're gonna know real quick just how evenly this approach is applied.

Yes but be sure to live in NC. Everyone remote living just over the border in SC even within 40 miles on my team is being let go- no offer to commute either

They are investing something like $100MM in the CIC, so yes, a core hub and will be one for years to come.

IT is still expanding in Charlotte. The Tech office complex is located near the UNC Charlotte campus. Many companies move to North Carolina because the state government gives financial incentives for businesses.

Charlotte is considered a core hub of corruption. All the bad leaders congregate there.

With a question like this, you must not work here

For Auto, yes. Product and IT, although they are slowly moving more of those roles offshore.

They want to hire people there and Chandler, because they can get resources cheaper there than in California/New York. Plus both sites have large campuses and more space.

India is the preferred location, but if hiring in the US in IT being in CLT and Chandler are safest. Locations like CA would be cut first.
