The fact that you think union jobs are safe in a failing company is a perfect example of why you wouldn't even be able to get a job without a union that protects the non-productive, unintelligent workers in its ranks.

I am confident that brighter days are ahead of you all. Why would anyone relocate or commute for this company? This is clearly a cost-cutting exercise. Because there is little profit growth due to a lack of innovation, the only option is to cut expenses. But, at what cost? It might assist in the short term, but the talent we are losing will have an impact in the long run. You made the correct decision.
