Liz is saving those managers and directors who are useless for CX and Cisco
Why not engineering managers and directors are hanging with no work and cutting high paycheck ? what the he-l is happening ? When some headcount is merged with IT from CX engineering why do they need these managers and directors ? is that mean the wherever they are merged are not capable to running and managing the teams. It is all filthy and pleasing those directors lick the ELT shoes

Lot of cleansing needed 🧽. Managers and Directors have created safe zones for themselves and their chums. This isn’t going to be easy but could be done with some guts. One way is to purge every level 1, 2, 3 manager, reassess and rebuild. One time blood bath is better than continued regrouping, realignment and LRs. Hope someone is paying attention. Liz eats Puri and starts a new path of changes.

csco has been nothing but a shell game for the last 25 years. When they added the mexican and indian cartels to the mix, that cemented the spiral into place. As long as they continue to think those offshore toilets are what the customers will continue to pay for they will continue to see sales dive. It's getting ready to go from bad to worse in the next 2 qtrs. Kiss your bonus and stock awards bye unless you are a sr. director + too. That's coming to a manager near you to start easing into that message. ET&I, TTG, COE, whatever you called it - absolutely horrendous top to bottom over the years too and to reward someone for that incompetence is, well csco.

Liz is a terrible leader but a decent public speaker. She has no charisma and her track record is not good if you’re in the know. Cisco leaders seldom promote talents but rather their friends.

What a shortsighted approach. How is ‘revenue impacting’ even defined. Most roles support the company’s revenue goals, whether they be sales/service/other roles. Hatchet jobs like this end up either needing red badges to do, or ACTUAL direct revenue roles end up doing work they shouldn’t. Race to the bottom.

It is a fire and replace strategy -- super simple.

Get rid of Americans, and replace them with people on another continent that "cost" 30% as much.

It doesn't matter if no one can understand what they are saying. It doesn't matter if they are difficult to work with. It doesn't matter if their quality of work is subpar.

They are cheaper.

You get what you pay for.

I’m losing hope. What’s changed so far? The same toxic useless VP’s are still around, the portfolio is a mess, team members are afraid, useless metrics are celebrated. You have an entire organization believing moving use case based AOV around a mythical race track is key to future revenue growth.

Liz should start by looking at herself. How much revenue has she ever bought in and how many of the acquisitions she made as the ET&I lead were successful integrations? She has no technical acumen and talks incessant total nonsense. “Quantum, AI, GenAI…” whatever the latest buzzwords are dominate her narrative without a shred of credibility.
