The number one reason I do not participate bolometric medical testing for health insurance anymore. They just charge me the surcharge.

I don’t smoke. Yet! They charge me a $500 surcharge. When I participated in their biometric medical testing. I always passed as a non-smoker. You automatically become a smoker if you don’t participate in your screening.

Do you think they have past data on your status. Don’t take the test and he can surcharge you. They’re all covered by lawyers.

On a related note look up Curran vs Honeywell.

Of course they do. They also profit from the health insurance. No other company has 600 to 900$ a month premiums for a family plan.

That explains the non-stop e-mails, TXT's and phone calls.

I work in HR ops and put together the spreadsheet with the data that we sell. It is much more comprehensive that you can imagine. To get removed, you have to email the head of HR for your business unit asking to be removed. It typically takes 2-3 days before we get the names removed. We send updated data every payroll period.

Where do you go to tell them not to sell your data?

Yes. For $20 all your personal info if for sale from Honeywell unless you go in and specifically tell them not to.

Yes! Unless you specifically jump through the hoops to find that disclosure notice and how to tell them to stop they get $20 per person. They sell your name address and income. Anything to make another buck off the slaves.

So your biometrics were shared with a third party that was not you employer nor the ones actually taking them? That is really skuzzy and I'm glad you took the parties to court. Good job!

I reported a major corporation, whose name I cannot write, for HIPA violations and received a settlement along with an NDA against disclosing the specifics. In my case a third party had the numeric results of my yearly biometrics.

You bet yer bottom dollar that be true, Honeywell is in every racket going.
I am sure our forced health test data is sold on too, there was some sketchy small print in there!

I am on the Honeywell Farmers plan. At first it was MetLife or something and was a really good deal. Then Farmers bought it. Within about 4-5 years, my homeowners and auto have doubled. No claims. I think Farmers is one that gives a good deal to get you and then makes it up on the backend so to speak. I also think they give kickbacks to Honeywell. I'm looking to change very soon.
