The way this company treated us and you call us mean? Most of us make no exaggerations in our gripes because the id--tic moves the low IQ CEOs and C-Suite sc-m make not only very negatively affect employee morale and lives but also shareholders and customers. How the heck does the OP type out a message to say stop being mean? Another low IQ employee.

There is absolutely no way you work for the company. Going to your manager is useless. Almost all union leaders don’t really care about you anymore, and the company definitely don’t care about you.

Maybe it's because after spending years at this company and busting a$$ to do what is right and expected, and "following orders", we feel ph--king BETRAYED by this s**thole of a company that was run into the ground by Randall Stephenson and John Stankey.
Maybe because we don't like being treated like total s**t. My last 2 bosses were friggin' incompetent beyond belief, yet they "looked down" on level 1's who did most of the work.
AT&T is one of the worst companies in America to work for right now.

Moral- is an adjective with the meaning of correct behavior; ethical.

Morale- is a noun describing the emotional state of a group or individual.

The company treats employees like sh-t, the employees work like sh-t because they know the company su-ks, no one is happy and there’s constant tension between upper executives and people who actually work.

The only difference is, McDonald’s makes an end product that’s actually pretty good if you’re ok with diabetes and a shortened life span.
T end product is actual dog-water, so there’s an inconsistency there.
But it’s probably a lot easier to make a good hamburger than it is to make a telecommunications network scale.

I love how the RTO initiative was meant to fix culture, but it’s only made it worse.
Everyone I talk to now is negative, except maybe people from Dallas and even then they say it kinda su-ks.

5 different groups on this site (maybe more). You have field, call center, retail store, “managers” (office workers) and trolls. The trolls are here just to cause issues and make you not want to post things. Maybe some are paid by HR. The other 4 groups are so different it might as well be 4 other companies. Everyone’s experiences and grievances are totally different. None imho are wrong, just different than the others. We should all keep that in mind. As far as grievances, I’m an office worker, you can grieve to your manager if you like, but they will show you the door in short order. Being an office worker is like working in a monarchy, where the L2 office folks are serfs. I’ve seen 2 people die in the office literally and nobody even winced nor was it spoken of. The ambulance showed up, wheeled them out and it was like it never happened. No one even mentioned it except at the water cooler. You want to know how little they give a cr-p about you, see that happen.

Why people are mean here? Because they CAN!!!

Why did the company remove COLA. Why is the Union more worry about politicians they support them the people that pay union dues? Why is the company working so hard to force customers to comply with the services they want to offer, instead of giving customers what they need at a fair price? Why is management skirting seniority? Why did company implement RTO in a why it obviously was meant to push people towards leaving or retirement? Why didn’t Union ask us to vote for strike during Covid restrictions? Why did the Union force us to take a contract? ATT at its current pace is a depressing place to work, that is why people post in here with negative comments.

They want all the senior people to retire without severance but with 20% inflation they won’t do it. The company has decided to make life tough on everyone so that they will hopefully retire even though they’re not financially ready. The bad media purchases that Randal and John fought the government to make are the cancer that won’t go away. Debt is being refinanced at higher rates now. Inflation has also hit the phone company but while the rest of the country got 20% raises we did not.

The forced relocation RTO initiative torpedoed morale, this site is just a reflection of how people actually feel.

There’s no point in talking to most supervisors because they feel the same way, if they go to upper management they get told ‘too bad’.
