Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Confirming contact info?

Received a task to confirm contact info.

Is this a bad sign? Anyone else receive this?

Did anything come of this? I just had this task in my workday as well.

Normally I would say it’s due to annual record keeping but if you are in the brokerage side and licensed & wfh & probably due to the new finra remote audit rules. As of June 1 you are only allowed to wfh at the location on file on your U-4 for your primary residence.

The email you get after being notified of your displacement, requires you to provide contact information (to receive your displacement package and other information, after you no longer have network access.

Personal contact info is required for BCP documentation, which is inspected at least once per year for accuracy/completeness.

Wouldn't read anything direct by receiving this request but who knows?

As few others have stated I got this request just before being cut on 5/14. In my 11 years at WF I had never received an email to update my info.

Business continuity plans require contact info. Should there be a site related emergency, the information is needed to communicate things such as “don’t come into the office due to emergency” or to give the all clear once the emergency is over. In my former (retired now) LOB we required updates be done quarterly for the above purpose.
In my experience as a senior leader, we did not request these updates ahead of notifying of a displacement, but would gather that I formation at the time of notification or verify updates made with the 30 minute window allowed between communicating displacement and cutting off network access. It’s a cruel process, but I have never had staff asked for that information ahead of a displacement notification.

I was part of the 5/14 layoffs and received an email the day before asking me to update my personal email address in workday. Good luck!

It’s not necessarily a sign that you’re going to be laid off…. Since Workday has that field it’s a “housekeeping” task management needs to announce.

It’s to ensure ALL employees have a non Wells Fargo contact listed.

Why haven't I received this notification? My workday reminders have been related to completing a self assessment or giving feedback.
