Originally heard end of year for (at least some) ATS employees who answered no to relocation, then around Q3 or October. Now hearing rumors that all wave 2 are being moved up to early July.
Anyone have any more info or can positively confirm?

Everyone off before 12/23 so they can save 2 days of holiday pay. Plus no one gets anything done that last week anyway. Also, they won't have to pay for holiday parties....oh wait, that ended in the 90's. So what do they cut next?
Wave 2 surplus notifications have already been going out to employees. I received mine in early May, with last day in second half of May. I believe they are going out in batches. Will probably take the whole year.
When will they start cutting first level managers. With all the surpluses and force moves there are way too many managers over small groups.
“… just like the seventies when Carter was President. Feels familiar, those weren’t good times, a lost decade with continual high inflation, low wage increases and jobs opportunities were hard to find.”
Almost every department still has employees who were actively working with T or a subsidiary during the seventies!
The uncle Joe economy is getting back to stagflation, just like the seventies when Carter was President. Feels familiar, those weren’t good times, a lost decade with continual high inflation, low wage increases and jobs opportunities were hard to find.
“ Yeah, totally…………..lol
White collar job market is great”
It is. You aren’t getting interviews too?
“Earlier the wave, better the jobs. The job market is great for software engineers and ADs and Scrum Masters. Wave 3 will get coffee shops and Uber positions after wave 2 scoops up the good jobs.”

Just make sure to bring up the stupid RTO strategy in every town hall with Stankey and his directs, especially Legg. It makes him sweat, it is funny watching him give BS reasons like culture fit and collaboration as key drivers of this strategy. Who hired him?
Most of the fat is gone, now they are working on the meat and soon it will be a skeleton.
“Many states and jurisdictions are also starting to establish more controls for squatters. If employees are unwilling to meet updated job requirements announced over a year ago, it’s time to go.”
If they lied, they’d have been given more time.
:)
I got bumped to wave 3, gonna just lie if I’m still here somehow in 2025 especially if it’s after bonuses come out and I already got my bag.
It’ll su-k to lose the severance and following year bonus, but I can’t imagine it’ll be more than 6+ months to collect checks especially since the bonus will only be for the partial year.
Pretty crazy, I actually know someone who had their move date bumped to end of 2025 … not sure why (person is sort of a level 2+)
It's hilarious that everyone thought they would be cute and game the system. Didn't work out so well did it?
“Yes, most STL ATS had their dates moved up to July.
Summers org is getting notifications on June 25th and off payroll July 9th”

What a disgrace! Thanks to the $100 billion debt boulder tied to the legs of all AT&T employees courtesy of sh-t head RJS the only future left is eventual bankruptcy when the debt boulder has to be refinanced at market rates. I’m sure John Stephen’s must be proud of himself for the dumpster fire he set and handed off before the coward got his golden parachute. Disgusting and pathetic.
“Employees who lied that they would move are still here much past their move date & Directors all over the map.”
Told you all to lie…
Everyone wants to down vote and be haters…but those out for themselves always come out ahead.
:)
Tower Strategy in NJ and Florida were impacted.
Same jobs under same Wilson/Choy org are working from all over the country.
Employees who lied that they would move are still here much past their move date & Directors all over the map.
Wilson/Choy org very tight knit favorites.
What T “can’t afford” is the utterly inflated, grandiose salaries (& bonuses) of the dark triad C suiters & their sycophant lackeys! Also, It’s high time to eliminate 2-3 levels of superfluous, gatekeeper “VP’s”. The aforementioned ‘costs’ need to be cut asap.
Yes, most STL ATS had their dates moved up to July.
This company su-ks.
“We're letting go of ATS.
What can go wrong?”
T will lose current expertise needed to prevent network outages and data security breaches. So basically no impact at all:
Summers org is getting notifications on June 25th and off payroll July 9th
What about other orgs under Legg? What are the exit dates for CSO, CTX, Business Tech, CIO, NS, others?
The only thing bloated in this company is the C-Suite of executive management that couldn't find its own a$$ with GPS! They are a disgrace to Corporate America and will be used in case studies in business colleges for decades on how not to manage a service provider! RJS single-handedly ran this company into the ground by one bad decision after another. He rolled the dice on his employees futures and now they're paying the price while he collects a $275,000 per month pension. What an arrogant S-B!!!
What a joke 😂
The only joke is the f00l who doesn't understand why it'd be confusing to use the same acronym for different things within the same company.
“ The ATS acronym is already taken”
We’re reserving acronyms now? What a joke 😂
ATS is AT&T Technology Services.
Well then use AT&T Technology Services or something else. The ATS acronym is already taken you low brows.
ATS is AT&T Technology Services. Handles everything from network core to AI to security to software development.
Calling a technican support division at T advanced is an oxymoron.
We're letting go of Advanced Technical Support.
What can go wrong?
Yep - 65% of our team stated no to relocation earlier this year; they just had a call where they will be off the books by early July (originally thought we had until October/November)
Others on the surplus call from different teams ranged from those already in Dallas and a few TW
It’s all budget related at this point - they are slicing/dicing no matter what
Summers organization
Bloated head count? We’re a bare bones skeleton.
I've also heard dates are moving up to get former employees fully off the books with severance complete by the end of the calendar year. T can no longer afford its bloated headcount.
