Is there a difference in timeline between WEC exit (I.e., data center) and people exit?
We know for a fact that Shart doesn't want a domestic workforce. Exactly when he will axe any specific LOB, group, building, or person is the harder info to determine, but the end result is the same and it's just a matter of when. As a person close to retirement, I'd like a few more years before a pink slip, but I'm under no illusion that HY doesn't want me gone. Automation, contracting, outsourcing, AI, or just closing/selling the business I'm in, they don't care, so long as everyone goes.

Truist still hires in Winston, please reach out to your network. We are back in office 4 days a week in October and it’s making it hard to fill certain roles. I work with several ex-WF people - they seem happy at least!
We have team members there who are very busy and are doing great work. It will be a big problem if we lose them in August.
Even if they say 8/2025 I bet they shed most of the staff way before. The numbers will not look good if they don’t.
Funnily enough, WF is hosting an employee appreciation event in W-S at WEC on June 12th. A candy and snacks table in a conference room. I guess we can have a treat on our way out the door.

It's such nonsense when they make people apply for their current role...just in a different city. Makes a complete lie of the "we try to find roles for everyone that's impacted!" No, you want to get rid of people and ki-l morale, and this is just one more tool to do that. F off HY.
It was 2025 but they are moving light speed on some of this stuff. I heard end of 2024 from our Exec. But would not surprise me if they do it earlier. Winston is not a hub or speciality market for anything, at least I am now aware.

I was told WEC location strategy would hit in 2025 so this is a big change from that. I wish someone with knowledge would elaborate. It matters to people who work here.
Fact. I had to repost my manager’s role for Charlotte so she can apply for her own job. Problem is she’s more than 40 miles from Charlotte, so it will require a change in job duties and that still might not save her. Tough times.
But we just opened a new Cafe.
