My severance says $50K comprised of NJ Required Severance Pay $25K and Remaining Verizon Severance Pay $25K. However, there's a note that says "You are NOT
required to sign a release for this payment, and it will be offset from the total amount or your remaining Verizon severance pay". What does that mean? Do I get $50K or only $25K? I was assuming $50K, but it's concerning until I get an answer here or see the money. Anyone know?

You will get $50k. The $25k NJ Required Severance will be paid soon after you leave. You get that no matter what. If you sign the severance documents, you will get the other $25k a few weeks later. Good luck!
