All the money goes to sales and marketing. Barely anything left for anyone else, yet all they can do is pander to ESG campaigns. No one buys from some company because of their ESG score. You got what I want at the best price or you’ve got the best service and the price is fair, I buy from you. It’s simple. They could really stop advertising altogether and it would probably barely impact the overall sales numbers.

The company spent a gajillion on developing the “Connecting Changes Everything” campaign and now empty coffers in marketing budget because consumers have know clue why that would be a mobile and broadband company’s slogan. They would expect our slogan to be something like “Yo! We connect your work laptop every where you are, like home on the sofa or in a 45 minute backup on the highways cuz you boss wants RTO. You’re very welcome.”
